Patriots Day Movie Review

Director Peter Berg once again team up with Mark Wahlberg after Deepwater Horizon for this briskly paced procedural. This Movie offers a stirring, superbly crafted tribute to the heroes of a real-life tragic story in American without straying into exploitative action thriller territory.
Focusing on Boston Marathon bombing, PATRIOTS DAY is the powerful story of a community's bravery in the face of terror. In the aftereffects of an unspeakable attack, Police Sergeant Tommy Saunders as a main character (Mark Wahlberg) joins courageous survivors, investigators and first responders in a race against the clock to stalk down the bombers before they strike again.
Interlacing together the stories of Police Commissioner Ed Davis (John Goodman), Sergeant Jeffrey Pugliese (J.K. Simmons), Special Agent Richard DesLauriers (Kevin Bacon), and Nurse Carol Saunders (Michelle Monaghan) this unflinching chronicle captures the excited suspense of the most sophisticated manhunts in law enforcement history and celebrates the bravery of the folks of Boston.
