Significance of Tulsi (Basil) Plant in Astrology

Tulsi Plant or Holy Basil is a very sacred plant, in other words, it is also called Queen of Herbs. It has been significant to mankind in many religious and medicinal ways. According to Hindu mythology basil (tulsi) is worshipped as and is considered as the wife of Lord Vishnu Goddess (Vishnupriya, the beloved of Vishnu). 
It is believed that Tulsi plant is surrounded by positive energy. According to Hindu beliefs, Tulsi Vivah (is the ritual marriage of the Tulsi plant, who is considered to be an incarnation of Maa Lakshmi, with Lord Vishnu). Tulsi Vivah is useful in removing problem if delay in marriage.  

Tulsi Plant is also useful as being spiritual purity, as it attracts the divine energy (satvik) and purify the mind and soul. According to Vasthu Sastra guidelines, planting a Basil Plant in your house (north, east, northeast or in front of the house), is very auspicious. You can plant basil on Thursday. However, the Kartik month is the best to plant it.

Worshipping Tulsi planet in Kartik month brings good fortune. Also you can achieve your desired result by doing Tulsi Vivah. You must have to plant Tulsi in a compound or in the middle of the home. You can also plant in the bedroom or balcony. There are two types of basil (Tulsi); one is green basil also called as Ram Tulsi while the other is black basil also called as Shyama Tulsi. Black basil is useful for elders and Green basil is useful for children.

Tulsi Plant- Rituals
You must have to offer water to the Basil (Tulsi) Planet. You must have to light, pure ghee lamp after sunset. You must have to take those leaves in the morning. You must have to offer Tulsi to lord Vishnu and his other avatar (incarnation). 
Do not offer Tulsi to Maa Durga and Lord Ganesh. If you have excessive debt, then you must have to offer basil leaf necklace to Lord Hanuman on Tuesday. You can get good knowledge by offering basil to Lord Shri Krishna every day. If you add a basil leaf in your daily food regime, then you will never face food shortage. It also gives you positive energy and knowledge.
